Cleaning Instructions
Your new Pal will join you on many adventures and can often get a little dirty. In fact, sometimes the more your pal is loved, the dirtier it will get!
To refresh your stuffed pal, gently vacuum clean it with a hand held vacuum or use the vacuum cleaners upholstery attachment. This will remove dust and slight dirt.
If a quick vacuum doesn’t do the job, spot cleaning may be necessary. To spot clean your animal, use a soft and clean white washcloth (avoid colored ones to avoid dye color getting onto your animal’s fur). Dampen the cloth with warm water and a drop of mild detergent. Gently rub the surface dirt off your animal. Then, re-dampen your cloth with warm water and gently rub off any residual detergent. This technique can be safely used for all new pals.
If spot cleaning does not release more stubborn dirt or stains you may have to utilize a stronger cleaning technique. However, please do not place your new pal in the washing machine as your pal is at risk of being damaged, even on the gentlest cycle. Instead, treat your animal with care by hand washing in warm water and delicate detergent. Then, rinse away all the suds with warm water and gently ring out all excess water from the limbs, tail, head and body of your animal. Finally, roll your Pal in a fresh clean towel and squeeze hard to get as much water out as possible.
Please use care when drying your animal. Do not use an electric or gas dryer, as these may damage your animal. The best technique is to air dry in a warm place out of direct sunlight. Hanging them in the hot sun could cause your pal’s fur to fade. You may also use a hair dryer on low heat to dry out your animal.
Unfortunately, even with these gentle cleaning suggestions, we cannot promise that all stains and dirt can be removed from your pal or that certain detergents will not damage your pal. Please remember to treat, clean, and care for your Pal with as much love and gentle care as possible so that you and your pal can enjoy a lifetime of love together.
Sincerely,
Janis
