From plush to possibility

Years of working directly with manufacturers have given us the experience to help take a project from an initial idea through sampling, production, packaging and delivery.

Sometimes that means creating a plush character from a drawing. Sometimes it means sourcing an entirely different product for a customer who needs someone experienced to help make it happen.

The product may change, but our approach doesn't: quality, care and attention to the details.

Stories of our own

Along the way, we began creating characters and stories of our own.

Mills Beary Village grew from characters that have been part of The Bear Mill's world for many years — a place where plush, storytelling and imagination come together.

That creative side of the company also led to The Thredyl Press, our publishing imprint for the stories and characters that have grown from that world and beyond.

They may look like different branches of the business, but to us they are connected by the same idea: taking something imagined and helping bring it to life.

Still personal after all these years

The Bear Mill remains an independent company. Whether we're helping someone choose a single plush friend, developing hundreds or thousands of custom pieces, sourcing a new product, or creating a character for one of our own stories, we believe the relationship matters as much as the finished product.

After more than two decades, there is still something special about seeing an idea become real for the first time.
